Team Fundraisers

The baseball teams needs your help! Commercial sponsors and baseball parents provide most of the money for the Portage baseball teams. Boosters provide the majority of essentials such as uniforms, baseballs, bats. Even adequate fencing for spectator safety and a safe playing surface have become a baseball booster financial burden.

Become a member at the Single, Double, Triple, Home Run, or Grand Slam level. Triple or better members will be recognized on special signage at Mustang Field. Grand Slam provides a framed and autographed 2009 team photo (your choice of JV or Varsity). All contributors will be listed on the website and the Game Day Program.

Web Volunteers for portagecentralbaseball.org: Here is your chance to help out the best web site in high school sports. The success of any web site depends upon fresh, rich content. It is our goal to have scores posted within a couple of hours, recaps no later than 9:00 on the following morning, and photos posted the day of the game. We are seeking several dependable, hard-working individuals to help out in the following areas. 1) Game recaps: A short synopsis of the game with some highlights and color. See our homepage for examples. These recaps are submitted via email to the webmaster. 2) Team photographer: This person will be responsible for taking game photos for ALL varsity games and submit them via email to the webmaster no later than 9:00 on the morning following games, 3) Video Volunteer: Responsible for shooting varsity game video and submitting the edited file to the baseball webmaster via email. These video clips are game highlights approximately 3-5 minutes in length. It is our goal to post video of at least half of the varsity games. Because of the time needed to edit video, these can be submitted a week or two after the game. Please go to Photos/Videos to view examples.
