General Membership Meeting

AGENDA

1. Background, History, Goal of PC Baseball Boosters (Monty Porter)
•Goals: Support needs of current student-athletes, provide facility improvements
•Discussion of future direction -- School budget issues

2. Fundraising (Monty Porter)
•General Membership support levels – review levels (Flyer available on web site)
•Sponsorship Signage (Outfield fence) – review program (There has been declining involvement due to economy. Initial cost is $300.00. Renewals will cost $250.00. SOLID leads for potential sign sponsors should be emailed to Porter).

•Ticket Raffle (MLB game tickets) -- Each player in the program will be responsible for selling five (5) raffle tickets at $5.00 apiece.
•Lawson Cleaning Dates – review player & parent responsibilities (Each parent/player expected to attend two events), sign-up sheet is on web site (under the 'Events' tab).
•Spirit Wear - hand out forms, review order process. Form available soon on web site.
•Winter/Spring Clinics -- Tentatively scheduled for March 20 and 21. Each player in the program is expected to work two shifts.
•Concession stand operations -- Kathy Irwin will coordinate.

3. Website (Bill Templeton) -- Request made for photographer(s) and game summary writers.

4. Player/parent contact information (Kathy Irwin)
•e-mail will be used to keep players/parents up-to-date.

5. Coach Schneider’s Update
•Coaching Staff for 2010 -- Varsity coaching staff to remain the same. JV: Coach Jones is moving on and his replacement will be named in the near future. Frosh: Mike Webster named new head coach.
•Winter Workout Schedule -- Will begin week of January 4, 2010. Workouts will be Tuesday and Thursday nights (7-9 p.m.) and Sunday afternoons (2-4 p.m.). Student-athletes participating in winter sports are not expected to attend conditioning portion of winter workouts (the first hour), but welcome to attend for second half. Student-athlete must clear this with his winter sports coach.
•Tryout Dates -- March 15-17, 2010.
•Game Schedule update -- Pending. Schedule will be published on web site when it is official.
•Spring Break Vacation Policy -- Players are released beginning Thursday, March 25, 2010. Players are expected to attend a 5 p.m. practice on Thursday, April 1, 2010. NOTE: The return date MAY be amended to the following Monday (April 5). See web site for more information when it becomes available.
