Discussion/Action:
1. Minutes from the January meeting were reviewed and approved.
2. Budget Update Pobuda reported a bank balance of $8,905.17. Porter reported that a total of $3,250.00 for fence post signs has been committed and/or deposited -- just $250.00 shy of the initial goal. Pobuda reported that he has another sponsor, and May will review with his company.
3. Website Templeton reported that minor updates have been made to the website. Schneider promised to forward Freshman schedule when complete.
4. Coachs Update - Reminder that sign-up meeting for prospective players is March 10, 2010 at 3:15 p.m. in PCHS cafeteria. Tryouts are scheduled for March 15-17 (Freshmen/Sophomores: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Juniors/Seniors: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.). Parent meeting scheduled for March 18 at 7 p.m. in the PCHS cafeteria. Krill was able to locate/purchase one new bat and will be buying others..
5. Projects Update. Krill will follow-up with former Board member Cary Mulvany to check on the source/status of the fence cap.
6. Spirit Wear Order form on website. Order forms and inventory will be available at Parent Meeting. Spring order deadline set for Wednesday, March 24.
8. Fundraisers Lawson clean-ups now complete. Raised approximately $1,500.00. Major League Baseball raffle: Schneider spoke with MLB umpire Tim Welke, and he remains willing to donate tickets. Porter will serve as the point person. With large number of MLB umpire retirements this year, schedule will not be available until later, which will impact when raffle tickets can be printed. Pobuda reported that another block of Detroit Tigers tickets are being made available by Delta Dental. It was suggested that two raffles might be in order: A so-called 'Detroit' raffle and a so-called 'Chicago' raffle. It was also discussed that add-ons (i.e restaurant gift cards, etc.) be offered as part of the raffle, thus producing additional winners. It was also suggested that the top salesman -- one who sells over and above his original 25 tickets -- be awarded a cash prize, not to exceed $35.00. Membership flyer will be circulated at Parent Meeting on March 18, and Board members all agreed to 100% participation. Baseball concessions sign-up sheets will be available at the Parent Meeting.
Banquet -- Porter called former Board member Rick Beauregard, who believed that Kalamazoo Country Club will be willing to host banquet again this year.
Parent Meeting -- Agenda reviewed. Board members to report by 6:30 p.m. to set up and help assemble information packets
10. Other Business None.
