Discussion/Action

Meeting Minutes: March meeting minutes were approved.   

 

Budget Update: Pobuda provided financial report and reported a current balance of $16,710.01.  Pobuda suggested recognizing sponsors at games by introducing them and thanking them, and Board agreed it is a good idea.

 

Coach’s Update:

·         Scoreboard – Additional drivers (2) need repair and should be back in 7-10 days.

·         Uniforms – Wrong pants were sent so Coach is collecting pants and will get new ones when they arrive. 

·         Batting Cage (right field side) – Is in process.  Schaefer stated that we should pour the ashphalt before putting pole structure in place so the poles are not in the way.

·         Indoor pitching mound purchase; purchased – waiting on bill.

·         2011 Schedule – Coach provided copy of Varsity schedule.  Schaefer reported that JV and Frosh schedules are posted on High School website.  Templeton will update website with schedules.

 

Spirit Wear: Schneider reported $1700 in sales and purchase of some extras for sale in the concession stand or to those that didn’t order.

 

Fundraisers:

·         Fence Sign Sponsors;  Porter reported $2900 in sign sales with a few pending.

·         MLB Raffle – Tickets distributed.

·         Restaurant night – Penn Station has agreed to do this and Porter is working on finalizing date(s) and details.

·         ESPN Magazine:  Krill reported no subscriptions to date.

·         Baseball concessions – Schaefer reported plans for concessions including new menu options.  We need a large rubber mat for floor and Schaefer will get one.  New this year we will recycle cans for deposit.

 

Team Banquet:  Monday, June 6th at Fetzer Center.  Schaefer reports all planning is in process and being taken care of. 

 

Other:

·         Pasta in Parking Lot will be May 10th

·         Board agreed to purchase an ipod/mp3 for use at games – national anthem, walk up songs, etc.
